From Knowing Your Values to Living Them

I finished building Living Authentically this week, and the first thing I felt wasn’t excitement. It was relief.

This guide has been sitting in the back of my mind since the summer. It was something I already knew I needed to build, because I needed it myself first.

The root of it goes back further than that. A three week outpatient program taught me tools like leaves on a stream, ways to notice a thought or feeling without being consumed by it. The same program included a values exercise that eventually led me somewhere I wasn't expecting. I realized I wasn’t living my own values at the time, freedom, simplicity, and connection. I was performing a life that had stopped fitting me a long time ago.

Naming that gap didn’t close it. Nearly a year later, life changed dramatically. We moved more than once across the country in a short time, exploring and figuring out what actually aligned, choices that came directly from finally being honest about what mattered.

Living Authentically is the guide I wish I’d had in between those two moments, the naming and the doing. It picks up where the free Coming Back to Yourself guide leaves off. Once you’ve named a value that feels distant, this walks you through what actually moving toward it looks like, one small, doable action at a time. Then a simple four week rhythm to help that one action become something steadier.

None of it promises a full life overhaul. It’s built on the same thing I had to learn myself. Small steps are what actually work.

Where in your own life is there a gap between what you say matters and how you’re actually living? Begin by noticing. You don’t have to close the gap today.

If that question resonates, Living Authentically is ready whenever you are.
